How to Layer Skincare Without Overcomplicating Your Routine

Cleanse, one priority treatment, moisturize — then sunscreen in the morning. More layers are not automatically better.

As a general rule: cleanse first, apply one serum or targeted treatment, then moisturize. In the morning, finish with sunscreen. Soft-Longevity Body Mist is a separate body/fragrance step — not part of the facial stack.

A working order

  • Gentle Hydrating Cleanser
  • One serum or targeted treatment based on your priority
  • Everyday Barrier Gel-Cream
  • Morning: broad-spectrum sunscreen
  • ENJOY Body Mist — separate from the facial routine

Skin Reset goes before the Gel-Cream. Tone Clarity goes before moisturizer: Cleanser → Tone Clarity → Everyday Barrier Gel-Cream, then sunscreen in the morning. Blemish Comfort sits after cleansing and before moisturizer, on targeted areas or according to final product directions.

We do not recommend stacking everything simply because it exists.

Why percentage is not the whole story

EOVELA does not treat the highest active percentage as the definition of performance. Stability, tolerability, texture, compatibility and how consistently people can use the product also matter. That is the Calm Actives idea: purposeful strategies with equal attention to comfort and daily usability.

If you are unsure which single priority to choose, use Find Your Routine — then keep the layering as small as it needs to be.

Prefer a smaller routine built around one priority?
