Retinoids are vitamin-A-derived skincare ingredients commonly used in nighttime routines to support smoother-looking texture and fine-line appearance. EOVELA’s Gentle Retinoid Night Treatment is the ADVANCE product for customers ready to introduce that step gradually.

Start slowly

The working approach is to start slowly — for example, one or two nights per week — and increase only as tolerated and as supported by the final formula instructions. The concept is intended to be approachable, but final suitability depends on the exact retinoid system, concentration and directions selected during R&D.

Irritation is not the goal — and should not be treated as proof that a product is working.

A simple night pattern

At night after cleansing, apply the retinoid, followed by Everyday Barrier Gel-Cream if additional comfort is needed. On nights you do not use the retinoid, Skin Reset with CARE is one of the clearest EOVELA routine stories: ADVANCE nights when appropriate, and simpler comfort-focused nights when you want less.

Daytime sunscreen matters

A daytime broad-spectrum sunscreen should be part of a retinoid routine. EOVELA does not currently include an SPF product, so customers should use an appropriate sunscreen from another brand.

What not to stack automatically

Keep the routine simple when introducing a retinoid. A conservative approach is to use Tone Clarity in the morning or on non-retinoid nights until final compatibility guidance is confirmed. Do not automatically combine Blemish Comfort Gel with the retinoid in the same nighttime routine — alternating treatment nights is the simpler approach until final formulas confirm what is appropriate.
